Christmas Eve...

Hope Christmas Eve is peaceful, happy, joyous...for everyone! DRIVE SAFELY...be a defensive driver (tonight especially)! Everyone KNOWS that all the law enforcement DUI Task Forces are out in force on New Years Eve! Most people take heed of this...utilize a designated driver or call a taxi. Listen to this: there may well be MORE impaired drivers on the roads tonight (Christmas Eve) then on Dec. 31! Keep your eyes open...be aware...be safe! Don't drink and drive,PLEASE...if you do nothing else, observing this precaution will prove that you are indeed your brother's keeper!!! The life you save might be yours, mine or one of your/my friends/ loved ones! BLESSINGS!

Avoid a Merry Christmas MUGGING...be AWARE,be SAFE

I do hope all of my readers have a very MERRY CHRISTMAS...stay safe;rushing to finish Holiday shopping could lower your guard against muggers looking to score your wallet or purse! ..........Avoid being "boxed in"by people,vehicles; have an avenue of escape!..........someone is starting to "pace" his movement to yours (you stop...they stop); cross the street or go into a store..........look for people circling you, moving to "bracket" you or surround you..........many attacks are prefixed by them asking you a question; distracts you while they close the distance(usually the attack starts from the silent accomplice at your side/behind you!)..........the perp will glance quickly at you,then around to look for cops/witnesses,then back to you repeatedly..........attackers like to approach from an oblique angle that just "happens"to intersect with your position;watch for this!..........beware if someone approaches you with one hand hidden in a coat/pants pocket; they don't want to show their weapon too soon..........RED ALERT if someone bumps/pushes/shoves you (pickpockets use this MO a lot)..........cross the street to avoid someone obviously intoxicated/strung out..........watch for vehicles passing you a second or third time or stopping alongside you as you walk..........avoid attempts to bait you with insults/remarks (touched on this in a prior post);walk away toward other people, they will assist since you are NOT an aggressor..........the muggers will glance at each other just prior to launching their attack: final check to make sure each one is ready!..........if someone gets "in your face",yes,watch them ,BUT also look out for the CALM looking one standing off to your side (he'll be the one to sucker punch you more often then not!) Any one of these factors by itself is likely no big deal; TWO/THREE/or more of these factors together should put you on HIGH ALERT!!! Being a Man has NOTHING to do with the size of your biceps!

I noticed a new comment posted on a Youtube video from Belle T.,a female Bodybuilder. The video showed Belle performing a heavy set of Hammer Curls using 70 lb. dumbbells. This young man acknowledged he would be unable to lift this heavy wgt. & said he would be inspired to work out more from seeing this vid. HOWEVER, he added a nasty insult to Belle in between these 2 statements: a nasty ref. to female genitalia & saying "she probably has to shave every day". WHY did he have to insult her??? There is certainly nothing to be ashamed about if you are not as strong as Belle...she is a professional bodybuilder/personal trainer for 7 years...trains long & hard! This young man needs to work on developing his self-confidence/self-esteem MORE then his muscles! If he was secure in his career/job skills, his academic prowess(if still in school), and/or his leisure/hobby skills (martial arts for me,bodybuilding,engine re-building,playing a musical instrument for others...really anything that requires patience & discipline to master); he would have no need to insult this woman. He would be secure & confident in his various talents & skills! BEING A MAN HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE SIZE OF YOUR BICEPS!!! Enough preaching on that...I am getting notes together to address how to avoid a Holiday mugging....next blog post. 'Bye till then!
